About the Foundation
The Barbara J. Dreyer Cares Foundation was established in 2011 to help support families with students enrolled in schools affiliated with the Connections Education organization, now a division of Pearson called Pearson Online and Blended Learning (OBL). The Foundation provides grants to families facing significant hardships that affect their ability to continue in a Connections Academy or other OBL-supported school.
The Foundation was named in memory of its founder and Connections Education CEO, Barbara J. Dreyer, and is managed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of family members and former colleagues. Their objective is to carry out Barbara’s vision of supporting families that are enrolled in company-supported online schools during their times of great need.
